Frequently asked questions

How long can the input text be?

Free users can summarize up to ~10,000 characters per request. For longer documents, split them into sections or upgrade for larger context.

Is my text used to train AI models?

No. We don't store or use your input for training. Text is sent to the AI provider only to generate the summary, then discarded.

What languages are supported?

Most major languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Mandarin, Arabic, and many more.

Why is the summary missing key points?

Try a longer summary length, or break the text into smaller chunks and summarize each. The AI prioritizes brevity over completeness.

Can I summarize a PDF or webpage directly?

Not yet — paste the text content for now. Direct PDF and URL summarization are on the roadmap.

How accurate is the summary?

Modern LLMs produce highly accurate summaries for well-structured text. Always verify summaries of legal, medical, or financial documents against the original.

Can I choose between bullet points and paragraph format?

Yes — switch styles in the options. Bullet points work best for reports and how-tos; paragraphs read better for articles and essays.

Will the AI hallucinate facts that aren't in the source?

The risk is low because the model is constrained to your input, but hallucinations can occur. For critical content, cross-check key claims.

How is this different from copying a few sentences?

AI summaries reorganize and condense ideas across the entire text — they capture themes, not just sentences, and stay coherent.

Can I summarize meeting transcripts or interviews?

Yes. Use the bullet-point style and ask for action items or decisions for the cleanest meeting summary.

Does the summarizer keep my original tone of voice?

By default the summary uses neutral tone. For style preservation, use our AI Paraphraser after summarizing to match your voice.

Is there a daily limit on free summaries?

Yes, free users get a generous daily quota that's enough for ~50–100 summaries. Heavy users can upgrade for unlimited use.

Can I summarize academic papers?

Yes — paste the abstract and conclusion sections for the cleanest results, or feed in the entire text and choose 'long' summary length.

How do I get a one-sentence TL;DR?

Select the 'short' length option, or explicitly add 'in one sentence' to the end of your text before summarizing.

Can I use AI summaries in my published content?

Yes, but always rewrite or fact-check before publishing. Treat AI summaries as drafts, not final copy, especially for SEO content.
